In the thermal areas of Yellowstone National Park, sometimes the water runoff channel from the hot springs will move into a different area. When that area contains trees, the minerals in the water will kill the trees. The Bobby Socks is the result of the roots taking in all those minerals.

Mountains, rivers, wildlife and waterfalls are the things that I love. I'm a nature photographer from St. Charles, Missouri.
