The Frisco mill is high above tree line in the San Juan mountains of southwest Colorado. It processed the ore from the Bagley tunnel which connected several mines. It sits up in California gulch, just off the Alpine Loop, not far from the ghost town, Animas Forks. It was closed in 1920 when the ore ran out.
Mountains, rivers, wildlife and waterfalls are the things that I love. I'm a nature photographer from St. Charles, Missouri. My portfolio includes scenes from Missouri, the Ozarks, Colorado, Yellowstone and Montana. I also love old historic buildings like barns and grist mills and the cobblestone streets of St. Charles.
